Amazing Hidden Features of Windows 10 You Didn't Know!

More than 7 years after the official release of Windows 10, there are still many hidden and very useful features of Windows that most Windows users still don't know about. To be honest, Windows 10 and Windows itself is such big platform that it is too difficult to find all the features.

In addition, in every major update of Windows, the platform is being further improved by adding many small features to Windows about which most users do not know. Today, I'm going to talk about some of the hidden features of Windows that most users still don't know about.

Snip and Sketch

In Windows 10, most users use third-party tools and programs, such as ShareX and Greenshot, to take screenshots. Yes, these dedicated tools are the best for taking screenshots and capturing the screen, since they have many other extra features. However, most of the time, you don't need so many features and editing tools to take a screenshot. In my opinion, the default screenshot tool that Windows has is enough.

We are not talking about the screenshot tool that you can copy a full screenshot to the clipboard by pressing the print scr button.

However, many people do not know that there is no need to use third-party tools to take a partial screenshot or to take a separate screenshot of a specific window that is opened. You can take screenshots of Windows using the built-in Snip and Sketch tools of Windows. You can take full-screen screenshots using Snip and Sketch at any time by clicking Windows Key + Shift + S, the permanent screenshot by cropping as you wish, a separate screenshot of a specific window, everything perfectly.

What's the point of downloading a third-party app for this and keeping it running in the background every time?

Command Prompt Settings

If you are not a newbie Windows user, then you must have opened the windows command prompt (cmd) sometimes. The black user interface of the command prompt and the small fonts in it is known to all of us.

Because no one changes the user interface of the command prompt that much. To be honest, not many people know yet that the interface of the command prompt can be customized a bit. You may not have known that there are several interface settings of the command prompt are available in Windows that do not require third-party tools.

Open the command prompt (CMD) and right-click with the mouse cursor on the program's title bar. By right-clicking this bar, you can see a setting called Properties below. When you enter the Properties setting, a huge panel will open to customize the command prompt at your wish. From here you can customize everything from the command prompt's font size, font color, font style, font style, font-weight, custom background to the ability of the command prompt to the accuracy of the command prompt and change the boring default look of the command prompt.

Dynamic Lock

Those who use smartwatches or any such smart Bluetooth device, they may use the smart lock feature on android phones. Although this feature is not used by many people in our country, with the help of this, if your Bluetooth-connected device is close to your phone, you can automatically unlock the phone.

Basically works well with smart wearable devices like wireless headphones and Mi Band. However, many people may not know that if you want, you can also use this smart lock feature on your Windows 10 laptop and for this, you do not need to use any third-party tool.

You can use the same type of smart lock feature in the Settings menu of Windows 10. To use the dynamic lock, you need to pair one of your Bluetooth devices with your laptop in advance. Then enter the Settings menu and enter the Accounts > Sign in Options tab, you will get the option to scroll down and set up Dynamic Lock. The setup process is very simple, you just have to show which Bluetooth device you want to use to unlock your laptop.

Done! From now, if you have that trusted Bluetooth device when you turn on your laptop, your Windows lock will open automatically. Again, if you take your trusted Bluetooth device out of the range, then the laptop will automatically lock again. This feature is really useful.

Ready Boost

If your desktop or laptop is too slow, you can easily improve the performance of your device a bit by using a flash drive as your secondary memory. And many may not know that you do not have to download or install a third-party tool to do this.

The functionality of improving performance by using a USB drive as memory has existed in Windows for a long time. But if you do this, you may see some improvement in the performance, but it will never be a difference between night and day. And it can be harmful in the future for your USB drive, not for your device.

However, to use Ready Boost, connect your pen drive and enter the properties of the drive. In the meantime, you will see a tab called Ready Boost where you can enter and set it up. The setup process isn't that difficult, it's very easy.

If Windows thinks that using Ready Boost on your desktop won't give you any results, you'll show a message like the one in the screenshot above. And if you do not have such a message, you can easily install Ready Boost easily.
